Objectives:

The goal of this testicular cancer continuing education program is to provide nurses with information on the etiology, risk factors, detection, diagnostic workup, treatment modalities and prognosis for testicular cancer, along with patient teaching strategies. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Identify men at highest risk for testicular cancer.
  • Discuss the detection, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis in testicular cancer.
  • Describe teaching strategies related to testicular cancer and testicular self-examination.
