Objectives:

The goal of this program is to inform nurses about the prevalence of abuse in nursing homes and to provide information on identification, prevention, and the appropriate proper response when abuse and neglect are suspected. After you study this information, you will be able to –
  • Define and identify types of abuse in nursing homes.
  • Identify risk factors for abuse.
  • Discuss measures to prevent and respond to abuse.

This course will be updated or discontinued on or before 12/31/2012
