The goal of this program is to assist nurses in educating elderly patients and their families about the inspection process and how it helps to ensure residents’ rights, quality of life, and quality of care in long-term care facilities. After you study this information, you will be able to —

- Identify how surveyors use resident, family, and staff interviews to determine resident satisfaction, quality of life, and quality of care.
