  • Describe the phases of clinical trials for U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of new drugs.
  • Explain the multiple roles of nurses who care for patients during stroke clinical trials.
  • List both typical adverse effects of drugs under investigation for strokes and complications of strokes.
