The goal of this program is to familiarize nurses with bioterrorism and its implications for nursing care. Part 1 focuses on the history of bioterrorism, the nurse’s role in recognizing symptoms produced by common bioterrorism agents, and information about anthrax and plague. Part 2 focuses on the RN’s role in emergency preparedness and response and keys to recognizing and responding to botulism and smallpox.
