Objectives:
The goal of this CBC continuing education program is to enhance nurses’, registered dietitians’ and respiratory therapists’ understanding of information provided in a standard complete blood count (CBC). After studying this information, you will be able to:
  • Define each standard component of a CBC
  • Categorize three common anemias based upon findings of the CBC
  • Describe three relationships between the components of a CBC
