Objectives:
The goal of this program is to update clinicians’ ability to deliver appropriate prehospital medical care specific to patients with either right or left ventricular infarctions. After you study the information presented here, you will be able to —
  • Differentiate the physical changes specific to right ventricular (RV) versus left ventricular (LV) myocardial infarctions (MIs).
  • List three complications associated with MIs.
  • Discuss therapeutic modalities useful in the management of MIs.
